Abstract

Die Ästhetik des Widerstands von Peter Weiss und Medusa von Stefan Schütz kennzeichen nicht nur eine ähnliche Sprach‐Gewalt und «Bilderwut», sondern auch eine je besondere Inszenierung des Medusenmythos'. Medusa im Fadenkreuz beider Werke liefert schließlich die Bedingung der Möglichkeit, die oft beklagte Hermetik sowohl des einen wie des anderen Textes aufzubrechen und den ästhetisch‐poetologischen Anspruch beider Werke zu hinterfragen.
